Introduction
Songhurst Caravans, a reputable provider of caravan solutions, prioritises sustainability and operational efficiency. To enhance on-site welfare while minimising environmental impact, the company sought an eco-friendly welfare solution.
The Requirement
Songhurst Caravans required welfare facilities that offered essential amenities while aligning with their sustainability goals. Traditional diesel-powered units were not suitable for their commitment to greener solutions, leading them to explore energy-efficient alternatives.
The Solution
To address their sustainability ambitions and improve on-site welfare standards, Songhurst Caravans partnered with ecowelfare to deploy a 12ft solar-powered welfare unit. The unit includes a fully functional canteen to support team breaks and meal prep, two modern, hygienic toilet facilities and a fully self-sufficient solar energy system, eliminating the need for diesel. This setup delivered reliable, clean energy while meeting all practical welfare needs for the workforce, even in remote settings.
The Conclusion
- Zero fuel costs – Fully solar-powered, eliminating reliance on diesel.
- Over 153 litres of fuel saved – Reducing operational expenses and environmental impact.
- Almost 487kg of CO2 emissions avoided – Supporting Songhurst Caravans’ sustainability objectives.
- Improved workforce welfare – Providing comfortable, modern and well-equipped spaces for on-site teams.
