Introduction
Remediate Ltd is a leading provider of brownfield remediation services, specialising in cost-effective and sustainable solutions for contaminated land management. To ensure the comfort and wellbeing of its on-site workforce during operations, the company required welfare units that combined essential amenities with environmental responsibility.
The Requirement

The Solution
In partnership with ecowelfare, Remediate Ltd deployed two fully solar-powered 12ft welfare units. Each unit featured a canteen, dry room and toilet, creating self-sufficient, eco-friendly workspaces that significantly reduced fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
The Conclusion
- Zero fuel costs – fully solar-powered, eliminating the need for diesel
- Over 106 litres of fuel saved – reducing operational expenses and environmental impact
- More than 337kg of CO₂ emissions avoided – supporting Remediate Ltd’s sustainability targets
- Enhanced workforce welfare – providing modern, comfortable facilities for on-site teams
