Introduction
Since 2011, London Building Procurement Limited (LBPL) has been a leader in successful project development, specialising in new builds, refurbishments, and fit-out projects. Their dedication to innovation and sustainability drives the pursuit of efficient, environmentally friendly solutions across their construction sites.
The Requirement
LBPL prioritised delivering high-quality on-site welfare facilities that aligned with their strong commitment to sustainability. They needed a welfare solution that ensured worker comfort, reduced operational costs, and minimised environmental impact.
The Solution
LBPL partnered with ecowelfare to deploy a fully solar-powered 12ft welfare unit, featuring a canteen, one toilet, and one dry room. This unit provided a designated space for breaks, secure equipment storage, and sanitation. By eliminating reliance on diesel generators, LBPL reduced emissions while maintaining excellent working conditions.
The Conclusion
- Zero fuel costs – Fully solar-powered, removing the need for diesel.
- Over 76 litres of fuel saved – Lowering operational expenses and environmental impact.
- More than 243kg of CO2 emissions avoided – Supporting LBPL’s sustainability goals.
- Enhanced workforce welfare – Offering a well-equipped, comfortable space for site teams.
Â
By integrating solar-powered welfare units, LBPL successfully raised on-site welfare standards and reinforced their commitment to eco-friendly construction practices. The sustainable design guaranteed access to essential facilities without fossil fuel dependence.
